MC Maullín

MC Maullin Marine Connection

The MC Maullín is an ultra-portable, reliable, and versatile ROV designed by Marine Connection for underwater work at depths of up to 100 meters. Its reinforced chassis provides stability and strength for safe performance in inspection and maintenance operations, and it is optimized for rapid deployment and small crews.

It offers precise maneuverability and efficient operation, and is controlled from an ultra-portable computer (Steam Deck), facilitating its transport, setup, and handling in the field. Backed by Marine Connection's local technical service, the MC Maullín delivers continuity and reliability in every operation, making it the ideal choice for those who need a compact, easy-to-deploy unit ready to meet the practical requirements of underwater robotics.

Ultra Compact Version

The MC Maullín is an ROV designed by Marine Connection with a focus on portability and operational simplicity. Unlike other larger and more complex equipment, the Maullín can be deployed quickly without requiring extensive additional equipment.

Thanks to its compact size and light weight, it is easy to transport and handle, making it the ideal solution for tasks that demand speed and mobility. It can be operated from a Steam Deck-type laptop or similar equipment, eliminating the need for bulky control consoles or dedicated command stations.

This independence from complex infrastructure not only streamlines the start of each operation but also reduces logistical and technical costs. In practice, the MC Maullín allows a minimal team to carry out underwater inspections efficiently, safely, and without interruption, while maintaining the reliability and support of Marine Connection's local technical service.

Uses of the MC Maullín

The MC Maullín is designed to perform a wide range of critical tasks in underwater environments, combining reliability and operational versatility. Its main features are:

  • Underwater inspections of structures such as aquaculture cages, moorings, pipes, docks, vessels, anchor lines and hulls.

  • Removal of shipwreck debris and objects, supporting recovery maneuvers and cleaning of the seabed.

  • Cleaning of structures and the seabed, using integrated tools that allow the clearing of sediments and obstructions.

  • Precision laser measurements, ideal for assessing damage, objects or submerged structures.

  • Cutting operations, using tools such as discs or clamps to cut ropes, cables, chains or other items underwater.

  • Environmental monitoring, with audiovisual recording, sediment control and collection of technical information.
